This is why you are Not Enjoying Your Time off

Life will go by very quickly and your wellbeing is the most important thing. So, taking care of you and enjoying your time off should be your priority.

This is why you are not enjoying your time off

You Don’t Switch Off

Ignore any work related messages and calls. When you are busy on your phone you are denying yourself some time off and if you do not switch off and are moving the same way you did at your work place or business you will definitely not enjoy anything.

These are your days off and they must be devoted to you and doing the things you complained about. Things like being too busy to exercise, too stressed to eat a proper meal and not being able to nap after a meal.

How you treat your mind on your days off will really affect the quality of your life. This may be a difficult thing to grasp for high achievers but, if you do not look after your mental you will not achieve anything in the long run.

You Sleep Too Much

Sleeping longer on your days off is one of the best parts of not going in for work or shutting shop. However, sometimes sleep can actually drain you. That exhaustion, stress and muscular pain can remain in your body and you can wake up feeling as though you were doing something very strenuous while you were sleeping.

On your days off, there are other things you can do that can be just as relaxing and be energy restoring. Walking around your neighbourhood and stopping to chat to people, laughing and exchanging banter. Gardening, sorting out your kitchen, cooking, washing your car; anything that is not work related can be enjoyable and will renew your energy. Not just sleeping!

You Think It Must Involve Money

Getting days off and enjoying them is that some people think that that there must be money involved. Top on the list are things like driving out of town to a popular tourist spot or joining friends at a trending eating and drinking place. Staying home is discounted.

Spending money does not have to happen on your day off. You can have fun without spending money, well, very little money. like buying a bundle and doing a virtual tour of places you would like to visit one day, learning a new language with an app, visiting or video chatting with that one friend or relative that you really like but hardly see or finishing that project you started and put away for lack of time.

Play games with your child or surprise your partner with their favourite meal. Sit down and read a book in your living room that you worked so hard to furnish or go outside and lie down on a mat under a tree. Listen to the noises in the neighbourhood and the birds in the trees.

Enjoy your days off.
